For this past year, you have invested in your relationship with yourself. A few minutes in each day, of all the minutes you have lived, laughed, loved and lost, all the minutes you have outputted, all the minutes you have spent doing or in motion, you have also now spent a few minutes each day inputting some thought, energy and attention on you, and enriching your relationship to and with yourself. That’s the power of journalling. It’s about paying attention to your evolution, your becoming and your growth while the busyness of life blizzards around you.
And that’s the holy grail. Paying attention to yourself amid all the toing and froing of life. While ticking the checklist you are also checking in to make sure it’s still what you want. While always looking outward at what’s next, you are also looking inward at what is. While living, you’ve also been learning. I hope it becomes a life-long learning. You can turn around and start the journal all over again, or just keep the daily journal prompt below where you can check in every day. This year long journal guide can be started again at any time because life will continue to change and challenge, and so paying attention to yourself is important throughout.
